For his part, Dr. Osama Abounar, Chairman of the Festival, expressed his pride and appreciation for the fruitful cooperation between the festival and the Mosaferoun Association regarding the student graduation project screenplay competition. He stated: “Through this competition, we seek to help students present works that are on par with those of professional filmmakers.”

Dr. Abounar indicated that supporting the screenplay gives students the opportunity to execute their work effectively and promptly.

He added that the festival will provide its audience with the opportunity to watch the winning projects after their completion during the following edition of the festival.

Meanwhile, Ziad Basmeer, the Executive Director of the Festival, mentioned that the festival has placed students among its top priorities since its inception through workshops and masterclasses organized specifically for them.

He explained that the festival always strives to give students opportunities to interact with Arab and foreign professional filmmakers, noting that the various festival activities provide a suitable environment for talents in all branches of cinematic arts to discover their potential and artistic capabilities.
